Conit Eye

Conit Eye is a Vision AI-based monitoring system designed to prevent accidents such as falls and collisions, which frequently occur at construction sites. It includes object learning and video analysis settings that can be configured by non-experts, expandable risk detection and monitoring functions with various risk detection models, and an app that reports real-time risks to users. It operates independently of the camera and can be configured to monitor a wide area using a single PTZ camera as well as existing CCTV. Conit Eye will protect the lives of workers and prevent significant economic losses at construction sites.

The unchanging fatality in construction

Among construction workers in the United States, approximately three do not return home each day after going to work. Despite ongoing government campaigns, the number of fatalities has not decreased. The main causes of death at construction sites are falls, collisions, and entrapments. Most of these accidents are preventable. Continuous, uninterrupted supervision and alerts are crucial for safety. However, there are limitations to having humans perform these tasks. AI is the most suitable tool for continuous supervision. AI can monitor 24/7 without rest and can reliably protect lives at a lower cost.

Addressing Limitations

Conit Eye addresses the limitations of existing AI risk detection systems, which typically have one AI detecting one object, are dependent on the camera, and require costly expert visits for reconfiguration when the camera is moved. To overcome these issues, we developed a new UX. Any camera connected to the network can be used for object recognition. Additionally, a single PTZ camera can be used to model motions and monitor a wide area that would typically require multiple cameras. The focus was on developing a service that is easy for non-experts to use.
